St. Paul's Lutheran Church

Our Lenten theme this year is "Wandering Heart: Figuring Out Faith with Peter", in which we will focus on the life and faith of one of Jesus' most famous disciples: Peter. In Peter, we see a person who is both steadfast and unsteady, a dear friend and a betrayer, a follower and a wanderer. In Peter, we often see ourselves. By following Peter's journey, we watch the story of Jesus unfold through the eyes of a very normal human trying to figure it all out--just like us.

2024 Lenten Worship Schedule

Each week during Lent, you all are invited to join us at our midweek Lenten Worship Services which will be led by the First & St. Paul’s Confirmation students at each of the three churches according to the schedule listed below.

In addition to our midweek Lenten Worship Services, you are also invited to wander alongside Peter and connect with one another during this Lenten season by:

  • Picking up a daily or weekly devotional booklet;

  • Watching our church Facebook pages for additional questions to ponder,

  • Engage in conversations during supper using question cards at the tables,

  • Reflecting on art, poetry and music that goes with the theme, and/or

  • Going deeper and reflecting together using our own special, newly created  “Wandering Heart Lenten Facebook Group” (Stay tuned for link...)
